The Buffalo Grove Fire and Police Departments joined forces with the Patriot Guard Riders to honor Airman Ben Rosengarden as he returned home from Afghanistan on Thursday evening. A special dinner in his honor was held at the Village Bar & Grill in Buffalo Grove, where local firefighters showed their respect by sending several units to pay tribute to his service. The event was made even more meaningful when Buffalo Grove and Deerfield police officers escorted the group from Deerfield to the venue, alongside members of the Patriot Guard Riders, creating a heartfelt welcome for the returning hero.
