China's first laser arc hybrid welding equipment developed successfully

    The China National Oil and Gas Pipeline Bureau (hereinafter referred to as the "Pipe Bureau") developed a laser arc hybrid welding equipment passed expert testing, which also means that the first laser arc hybrid welding equipment developed successfully. Next, the laser arc hybrid welding equipment, the pipeline will continue to conduct field trials and stability improvements in-depth study to further reduce costs and improve welding speed.

    Since 2009, the Pipeline Bureau has carried out the "Pipeline Full Position Laser / Arc Hybrid Welding Technology Research." In 2011 and 2014, he successively undertook the research projects of "New Technologies for Efficient Welding and Testing of Oil and Gas Pipelines" and "Research on New Technologies for Efficient Welding of Oil and Gas Pipelines", and made full theoretical and experimental studies on the successful development of laser arc hybrid welding equipment the study.

    The laser arc arc welding equipment developed by the Pipeline Bureau combines the advantages of laser welding and arc welding. It has the characteristics of large welding penetration, good mechanical properties of welding seam and thick welding layer once. Test results show that the equipment can be welded once blunt edge thickness of 7.81 mm to 8.18 mm, the welding speed of 1.15 meters per minute, with the current automatic welding equipment compared to not only reduce the number of welding layers, saving 50% , But also to improve the welding speed twice, reached the international advanced level.
