November 2 reported that in order to meet the growth of Auman's business and the need for future joint ventures with Daimler, Foton Motors will invest 1.3 billion yuan to build a second heavy truck factory in Huairou, which will increase the total capacity of Foton Middle and Heavy Trucks to More than 100,000 cars. At the same time, the fourth-generation Auman product has also begun research and development, and will be put into production at the second plant in the future.
The establishment of a factory in Beijing means that Foton’s plan to build the second Auman plant in Nanhai, Guangdong Province has been adjusted. Fukuda officials said that taking into account that the Bohai Rim region will be the main economic belt for absorbing fixed investment and boosting domestic demand in the next 5-10 years, and the main non-ferrous metals and coal production bases in the country will also be clustered in the north, Futian will set up the second plant in Auman. Transferring to Beijing will help to share management resources and logistics distribution resources with the first plant in Huairou Auman, and reduce the input costs of supporting resources. The former Nanhai plant will be adjusted to the Fuzhong Dazhong Bus Factory.
