Jinan will eliminate 41,000 yellow-label cars and old cars this year. More than 96% of taxis and more than 45% of buses use new energy and clean fuel.
The “Jinan City 2015 Energy Saving and Emission Reduction Low Carbon Development Action Implementation Plan†issued by the General Office of the Jinan Municipal Government recently proposed that 41,000 yellow-label vehicles and old vehicles will be eliminated this year, for vehicles that have not obtained the environmental protection inspection mark. Approved the safety technical inspection mark of motor vehicles.
In terms of transportation, Jinan will promote the construction of the highway non-stop charging and service system (ETC) this year. By the end of this year, the ETC lane coverage rate of expressway main toll stations will reach 100%, and the ETC lane coverage rate of ramp toll stations will be no less than 90%. In addition, the use of natural gas vehicles and new energy vehicles will be vigorously promoted. By the end of this year, more than 95% of taxis and more than 45% of buses use new energy and clean fuel.
