· Mercedes-Benz (China) sales company recalls part of imported SLK200

According to the website of AQSIQ, Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. has filed a recall plan with the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine, and will recall some of the 2014 SLKs from July 25, 2014. 200 cars, production date is from March 20, 2014 to April 8, 2014. According to the company's statistics, 15 vehicles are involved in mainland China.
The vehicle within the scope of the recall, due to the manufacture of the parts supplier, the gas diffuser of the front passenger airbag and its fastening device were not properly assembled according to technical requirements. This may cause the airbag to fail to fully perform its intended function and increase the risk of injury to the occupant in the event of a collision, posing a safety hazard. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. stated that it will provide free inspection and repair of vehicles within the scope of the recall, and replace the front passenger airbag module of the vehicle for customers free of charge to eliminate hidden dangers.
