Nationwide Boiler Raises Nearly Fifty-Four Thousand Dollars at Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Nationwide Boiler Inc., a top provider of rental and sales boiler equipment, recently wrapped up its 41st Annual Charity Golf Tournament in Pebble Beach, California. The event, held this month, brought together nearly 100 guests, over 40 sponsors, and raised almost $54,000 for two outstanding causes. All funds will be distributed between Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area, which grants wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses, and the American Boiler Manufacturers Association (ABMA) Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund, supporting future engineers and technicians in the boiler industry.

The tournament featured a practice round at Spyglass Hill Golf Course and competitive play at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links. Attendees traveled from across the U.S. and Canada to support the cause. Participants contributed through sponsorships, donations, raffles, an online auction, and other engaging activities throughout the two-day event. This year’s winners included Allison Day (Nationwide Boiler) in the Women’s Division, Miles Freeman (HTS, Inc.) in the Handicap Division, Jordan Cole (Cole Industrial) in the Callaway Division, and Jake Cushard (Nationwide Boiler) as the Low Gross Champion. Nationwide Boiler also announced the dates for their 42nd Annual Charity Golf Tournament, set for May 10–11, 2023, again at Pebble Beach Golf Links.

Make-A-Wish® Greater Bay Area, founded in 1984 and one of the largest chapters nationwide, has granted over 8,500 wishes to children aged 2½ to 18 who are battling critical illnesses. Their mission is made possible through corporate sponsorships, special events, foundation grants, and individual donations.

The Randy Rawson Scholarship Fund, established by the ABMA, supports aspiring professionals in the boiler engineering and fabrication field. It provides financial assistance for post-secondary education or technical training to high school graduates entering the commercial, institutional, industrial, or power generation sectors. Each year, multiple scholarships are awarded to students sponsored by ABMA member companies.
