New breakthroughs in rubber auxiliaries cleaning process

    It is expected that breakthroughs will be made in the “three wastes” emission problem that has hampered the global rubber accelerator industry for decades. The reporter learned from Tianjin Kemai Chemical Co., Ltd. last week that the cleaner production process development and high-content rubber antioxidant TMQ (RD) projects undertaken by the company were identified by experts. Among them, the cleaner production process of rubber accelerator M has now entered the pilot stage and will be industrialized in 2012; the effective content of high-content rubber antioxidant TMQ is over 80%.

    In recent years, the production and demand of rubber accelerator M at home and abroad have been increasing year by year, but its development prospects are worrying. Due to the current widespread adoption of the aniline production process for global accelerator manufacturers, there have been defects in low product yields, high consumption of refined process raw materials, and serious environmental pollution, which are incompatible with the current global low-carbon and environmental-friendly industrial development requirements. Xu Chunhua, chairman of the Rubber Chemicals Professional Committee of the China Rubber Industry Association, believes that the newly developed Accelerator M cleaner production process is expected to break through the "three wastes" emission problem for rubber accelerators, and that the high-content rubber antioxidant TMQ (RD) project has achieved International advanced level of similar products.

    Accelerator M Cleaner Production Process Development Project Through the in-depth study of the reaction process of the aniline synthesis accelerator M, the mechanism of the accelerator M reaction was determined, and the theoretical basis of the synthesis reaction was proposed. Through experiments, researchers completed the optimization of the main reaction process conditions such as the ratio of raw materials, reaction temperature, reaction time, and operation control scheme, and successfully developed the CS2 high-temperature extraction and crystallization accelerator M cleaning production process in the world. The production process of this process is close to the zero discharge of “three wastes”. The yield of accelerator M product has reached over 94%, which is more than 10% higher than the original process, and it has significant social, economic and ecological benefits.

    The high-content rubber antioxidant TMQ (RD) project has developed a synthesis technology using solid acid as a catalyst. The conversion of the reaction is high, the selectivity is high, the reaction temperature is low, and the catalyst can be reused. The successful research and development of the project made Tianjin Kemai the first company in the country that can produce rubber antioxidant TMQ (RD) with an effective content of more than 80%.
