In the process of designing and constructing the plant, environmental protection and the realization of sustainable development are regarded as the top priorities. Through a number of initiatives, we are committed to reducing waste emissions and energy consumption. In order to save water, the factory will achieve 100% recovery of industrial wastewater, and after treatment, it will be rationally reused. At the same time, the factory will also collect rainwater for internal use.
The plant also uses heat recovery technology to use the steam obtained from the tire vulcanization process as heating, hot water, and showers. A series of green environmental protection and energy-saving designs enabled the Goodyear Pulandian Factory to win the “Green Energy and Environmental Design Pioneer Award (LEED)†Gold Award. At present, the Pulandian factory can produce 1 million truck tires per year.
