The environmental pollution caused by the burning of slag during the process of roasting pyrite is generally about 0.7t of slag per 1t of sulfuric acid produced. The slag contains residual sulfur, which is discharged into the water to acidify the water, corrode bridges, ships and affect fish growth. In recent years, a large amount of experimental research work has been carried out on the utilization of slag. However, most of them stay in the small-scale experimental stage, and large-scale comprehensive utilization still requires intensive work. Efforts should be made of iron-containing slag reached ironmaking, steelmaking requirements become harmful to treasure, to achieve the comprehensive utilization of mineral resources.
