Formlabs' Premium Teeth Resin is FDA-cleared in the US, EU, UK, Switzerland, and Canada for printing three key applications: natural-looking teeth for digital dentures, temporary full-arch implant-supported restorations (All-on-X), and temporary single-unit restorations like crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and up to seven-unit bridges. This is Formlabs’ first in-house developed tooth-colored resin, formulated with nano-ceramic fillers to deliver superior aesthetics, mechanical performance, and durability for optimal clinical results.

Combined with a wide range of dental materials such as Dental LT Comfort Resin and IBT Flex Resin, Premium Teeth Resin enables users to print an extensive variety of dental applications. It's compatible with Form 4B MSLA and Form 3B/+ and Form 3BL SLA 3D printers, offering efficient workflows that help dentists and lab technicians deliver high-quality results faster than ever before.

“I have been thoroughly impressed with Formlabs Premium Teeth Resin. The material not only has the strength we need for denture teeth and All-on-X appliances, but it also polishes with minimal effort to reveal a natural, lifelike translucency.”

One Market-Leading Material for Denture Teeth, Temporary All-on-X Appliances, and Temporary Single-Unit Restorations and Bridges

The Formlabs Dental team is dedicated to developing materials that support new applications so you can expand or grow your offerings. With Premium Teeth Resin, it’s possible to print denture teeth for digital dentures, temporary All-on-X appliances, and temporary single-unit restorations and bridges, all with one material solution. This means a single Formlabs dental 3D printer can produce an array of solutions without swapping resin tanks or significantly changing post-processing protocol, saving time and resources.

    High-Quality Teeth for Dentures

Premium Teeth Resin enables effortless, in-house 3D printing of teeth for full or partial dentures to be used with 3D printed or milled denture bases, and try-in dentures. Reliable, high-quality prints ensure excellent fit and reduced post-processing time for denture teeth with enhanced aesthetics, longevity, easy polishability, and superior mechanical performance. Premium Teeth Resin is compatible with a range of 3D printed and milled denture bases including Formlabs’ Denture Base Resin (manufactured by DENTCA), and Lucitone Digital Print Denture System (a third-party resin).

    Temporary Full-Arch Implant-Supported Appliances (All-on-X)

Premium Teeth Resin is a reliable and fracture-resistant material for directly printing temporary All-on-X appliances. This prosthetic application in the dental portfolio reflects the demand from dentists and dental labs for a high-performance material for fully digitized and streamlined workflows that are compatible with conventional finishing workflows and meet diverse patient needs with ease. This material can be further customized by using characterization kits or composite for the gingiva portion.

    Provisionals: Single-Unit Restorations and Bridges

Premium Teeth Resin can be used to print single units and bridges to partially or fully restore teeth provisionally for all types of clinical situations, from cases needing treatment for a single tooth to complex rehabilitation cases. These include temporary crowns, inlays, onlays, veneers, and up to seven-unit bridges. This new nano-ceramic filled resin is over 60% stronger than Temporary CB Resin and can be used intraorally for up to 12 months.

    Why Premium Teeth Resin?

This best-in-class resin allows you to create fully customizable, superior appliances with efficiency and ease. The nano-ceramic-filled formulation is a market-leading solution combining the optimal balance of intraoral mechanical performance, aesthetics, and longevity. With Premium Teeth Resin, you can easily create natural-looking teeth that are resistant to wear, staining, and abrasion.

“We have found the Premium Teeth Resin to be a reliable material in our dental practice. Its accuracy in printing applications, including denture teeth and All-on-X, is noteworthy. Additionally, the material's translucency has been quite impressive, contributing positively to the overall aesthetics. This resin is a valuable addition to our digital workflow.”

Michael Braian, DDS, CDT, PhD, Founder of the Swedish Organisation for Computer Aided Digital Dentistry (SWECADD)

Biocompatible With Superior Intraoral Mechanical Performance

Premium Teeth Resin is a Class II biocompatible material and FDA Registered for printed teeth in both digital dentures and temporary All-on-X. When tested in intraoral conditions (37 °C in water) Premium Teeth Resin was the industry-leader for flexural strength and exhibited the most consistency between ambient environment (23 °C, 50% relative humidity) and intraoral conditions compared to competitor materials.

    Replicate a Natural Smile

Aesthetics are key to patient acceptance and well-being. The High Translucency (HT) shades of this nano-ceramic filled resin provide a realistic translucency and opalescence. Premium Teeth Resin was rigorously tested to ensure resistance to wear, staining, and abrasion, and maintains its original characteristics over time.

"Formlabs Premium Teeth Resin is an impressive resin combining mechanical properties and aesthetics. I tried it for several applications, the patients were very comfortable with the feeling and the lifelike aspect of the resin due to its natural translucency. The material strength is very interesting, allowing us to make extensive dental prosthesis with a feeling of total security."

Dr. Édouard Lanoiselée, DDS, Cabinet dentaire de Nozay

Available initially in four HT shades, A2, A3, B1, and Bleach, Premium Teeth Resin can also be customized even further with staining kits for realistic, aesthetically pleasing solutions that replicate a natural smile so you can meet diverse patient needs with ease.

Case Study: Reducing Chairtime at Baer Dental

For a dentist running a general practice, speed is of the essence as reduced chair time means reduced costs and improved patient comfort. Dr. Christopher Baer, DMD, of Baer Dental, a general dental practice in Lone Tree, Colorado, has been printing temporary restorations with Premium Teeth Resin and Form 4B.

Dr. Baer has found that 3D printing temporaries on Form 4B saves time and workflow steps, especially compared to an injectable technique. Dr. Baer says, “When we're taking time to print something like full arch temporaries directly to the prepped margins — you just print and deliver it, typically without adjustment. If you're doing an injectable technique, there is a lot of time spent on adjustments and trimming, you might go back and forth to the lab to try to fine-tune stuff. But when it's printed, you basically pop off the supports and it's done. It delivers into the mouth and you can try it in and then you're going directly to cementation.” Printing an appliance with a perfect fit ultimately decreases chairtime, for time and cost savings and an improved patient experience.

Recently, Dr. Baer had a patient with a missing onlay. It was a Friday afternoon, and the patient was scheduled to fly out of town the next morning.

“Using Premium Teeth Resin and the Formlabs Form 4B 3D printer, we were able to quickly 3D print a robust temporary restoration in just 16 minutes. The patient was out the door in about half an hour, completely satisfied with this high-tech solution. This quick turnaround wouldn't have been possible without the speed of Form 4B and the effectiveness of the Premium Teeth Resin.”
