On December 8, the first batch of deck covers of DE029/036, which was built by Nantong COSCO Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. for Dalian Zhongyuan Kawasaki Ship Engineering Co., Ltd., was successfully shipped. The hatch covers for this shipment are DE029 3/4/5 and DE036 2/4, with a total of 20 hatches and a tonnage of 516 tons.
Different from the completion of the previous single cover cover order, the two sets of hatch order production cycle is very tight, coupled with adverse factors such as cold weather will also affect the paint work. Nantong COSCO Heavy Industry's production department has solved the one-on-one sudden problems with rich hatch production experience and skilled production technology and complete problem-solving mechanism, and successfully completed the production and passed the inspection. What is more worth mentioning is that due to the fact that there are other cargo on the sea vessel carrying the hatch cover, it takes up a part of the space, which makes the loading of the hatch cover a lot of difficulty. However, the logistics department relies on the excellent lifting technology and tacit cooperation to meet the difficulties, work overtime, safely and smoothly load the hatch cover, and ensure the first batch of DE029/036 cover is successfully shipped.
