The Ministry of Land and Resources and the Fujian Provincial Government recently convened a joint conference on oil and gas exploration in the Taiwan Strait in Xiamen to discuss and implement the spirit of the development plan for the National Economic Zone on the west bank of the Taiwan Strait and work together to promote related work on oil and gas exploration in the Taiwan Strait. It is understood that the Ministry of Land and Resources and the Fujian Provincial Government attach great importance to the work related to oil and gas exploration in the Taiwan Strait, actively promote the oil and gas-based geological work, and initiated a number of oil and gas geological survey and evaluation projects. The two sides reached a consensus among the participants and the Ministry of Land and Resources will continue to establish projects to carry out the geological survey and evaluation of the oil and gas foundations in the Taiwan Strait in order to support the deepening cooperation between oil companies across the Straits. The Fujian Provincial Government will continue to support the province’s professional departments in carrying out oil and gas-based geological work.
