The petrochemical industry drafts the first inverter application standard

    From July 23 to 26, the China Petroleum and Chemical Automation Application Association held a working meeting in Beijing to discuss and determine the basic framework of the 12 series of industry standards for the three major series of inverters and soft starters. The industry's first industry standard for frequency converters and soft starter applications.

    Chen Minghai, secretary-general of the China Petroleum and Chemical Automation Application Association, pointed out that with the increasing maturity of frequency control technology and soft-start technology, its application in the petroleum and chemical industries is increasingly popular, for stable production, improved process control quality, energy conservation and emission reduction, The maintenance of equipment and equipment and the protection of the environment all play an active role and have broad application prospects. However, due to the lack of uniform industrial engineering application standards, the design, selection and maintenance of frequency converters and soft-starting devices have no rules to follow in the actual engineering application. Quality problems and safety accidents occur from time to time, and they are used in petroleum and chemical production. Bring security risks, and these issues become more prominent as the scope of application of the device expands and the number of applications increases. Therefore, under the initiative of industry experts, the association began to organize the formulation of relevant industry standards, and has been approved by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology to be included in the 2010 National Industry Standards Revision Plan.

    It is understood that the series of industry standards developed by the “Guidelines for the Application of Frequency Converters and Soft-Starters for Petroleum and Chemical Industry” includes three series of low-voltage inverters, soft-start devices, and medium-voltage inverters. Each series includes basics. Requirements, design selection principles, installation and commissioning and acceptance specifications, maintenance and use of the four parts, a total of 12 industry standards. After the second half of this batch of standards have been further revised and standardized, and the industry solicit opinions, it will strive to issue a press release before the end of the year.
