The total number of victims killed by floods in Gansu County rose to 47

Gansu County, Gansu Province, reported on the 18th, newly confirmed dead persons in 2 cases, the total number of deaths caused by mudslides in the extremely large hailstorms in Jixian County rose to 47 people.

As of 18:00 on May 18th, “5·10” Jixian County, a major flood and debris flow disaster in Shenyu, Pudong and Puma, confirmed the death of one person in 1 case. Accumulated 47 people were killed in the disaster and 12 were missing. Another 60 injured people were treated in the hospital.

Through all efforts, the disaster-affected schools in Qixian County have all resumed their classes on the 17th, and post-disaster reconstruction work has been fully carried out. Communication and transportation facilities in the affected areas have been completely reopened, and qualified farmers will be energized one after another.

At present, emergency rescue work is being carried out in an orderly manner and the disaster data will be changed.
