On March 11, the US International Trade Commission said that the committee's preliminary ruling determined that China's loss of US-Car truck tire products caused substantial damage or threat to the US related industries.
Based on this ruling, the US Department of Commerce will continue to conduct a "double-reverse" investigation of Chinese tire products.
In the preliminary ruling, four members of the US International Trade Commission voted in favor, and the other two members voted against it.
According to the Tire World Network, in the US "double opposition" to the Chinese tires, the anti-subsidy preliminary ruling results will be made around April 25, and the anti-dumping preliminary ruling results will be made around July 7.
In response to complaints from the United Steelworkers' Federation and the American Labor Union, the US Department of Commerce decided on February 19 to launch an investigation into the above-mentioned products in China, involving a total amount of US$1.07 billion.
The US initially determined that the dumping margin of China's truck and bus tires was 19.91%-22.57%, and the subsidy rate was not less than 2%.
The Chinese Ministry of Commerce stated that the US Department of Commerce has decided to reduce the facts and legal basis, especially the applicant's qualifications and industrial representation.
It is reported that the case was filed by the American trade union organization, and some major tire companies in the United States did not support the filing. The Chinese side expressed serious concern about the US approach and said that it will resolutely use the WTO rules to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese industry.
