On July 8, the Commercial Vehicle Group announced that XCMG, the Chinese construction machinery manufacturer, had selected it as one of the two important seat suppliers. The company will provide a series of engineering seating products for the XCMG Group including mobile cranes, road rollers, wheel loaders, excavators, bulldozers, truck cranes and concrete pump trucks.
U.S. Commercial Vehicles Group said it will start production of designated seats for XCMG Group crane products at its factory in Shanghai, China in the third quarter and plans to extend the production line to all other Xugong Group's construction vehicles in the next 12 months. The company estimates that it will eventually provide about 70% of the seats needed to satisfy the XCMG product line series.
At the same time, the company also plans to establish a warehouse and distribution center near the Xugong Group base in Xuzhou, China, to provide support for Xugong Group and other Chinese customers. The company currently estimates that the average annual income of this business will be between 4 million and 6 million US dollars.
