Brazed radiators are the future of the HVAC industry

At the 2010 Technical Symposium held from September 14 to 15, Sapa Heat Transfer Company will elaborate on its in-depth research results and explain the reasons for adopting brazed aluminum to manufacture all HVAC&R. In the automotive industry, brazed aluminum has become the main choice due to its energy-saving advantages. Because this material can be flexibly customized, there is no reason why the HVAC&R industry does not benefit from these advantages.

Sapa uses lightweight materials such as aluminum to develop, manufacture and sell high value-added aluminum profiles, aluminum-based building systems and radiator material solutions. At the Sapa 2010 Technical Symposium in Shanghai, attendees will learn more about how to manufacture brazed radiators. Sapa's engineers will also share their years of experience in this field.

Ma Yuehan, general manager of Sapa Heat Transfer (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., said: “Most HVAC&R manufacturers do not use brazed radiators, and the automotive industry uses brazing radiators for energy conservation. I personally believe that for the same reason. We will see that the HVAC&R industry will also use brazed radiators."

Due to the flexibility of the brazed heat sink concept, aluminum solutions offer numerous opportunities for OEMs to design differentiated products. The existing radiator aluminum material is highly compatible with almost all commercial refrigerants. Aluminum profile miniports can be customized to meet the requirements of both low pressure refrigerants (such as ammonia and hydrocarbons) and high pressure refrigerants (such as carbon dioxide). Scott W. Haller, Director of Technology R&D at Sapa Heat Exchange, said: “Sapa is committed to continuous innovation in the heat sink material market and will continue to provide customers with numerous tools to help them in the development of aluminum radiator solutions. Forefront."

At the Sapa 2010 Technical Symposium, participants will be able to learn about the use of brazed radiators in the HVAC&R field. Sapa’s experienced engineers will share their experiences, tell live stories, and present findings. Sapa will provide up-to-date details on high value-added materials system solutions for the HVAC&R brazed aluminum radiator market, including all the system components necessary to manufacture aluminum radiator equipment, and detailed descriptions of external corrosion testing methods.
