According to an annual report released by the American Plastics and Equipment Industry Association (SPI), the US plastics equipment market experienced a complete recession in 2010, including injection molding machines, extruders, blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, and screws and barrels. The field of plastic equipment has been hit.
SPI reported that the delivery of all major plastic equipment has declined for the third consecutive year. In 2010, the total delivery price of plastic equipment decreased by 10% from 2009 to US$792 million (5.51 billion yuan). The total delivery of plastic equipment in that year was reduced by 14%. The main equipment mentioned here does not include auxiliary equipment as well as screws and barrels.
