Tim Olk and Josh Boyajian were both present at the intense 2-11 alarm fire that broke out on Chicago's Southwest Side last Friday at 2521 W. 45th Place. According to the Chicago Tribune, the location of this fire has been declared a crime scene.
The situation was dire when firefighters responded to the blaze in the 2500 block of West 45th Place around 1:50 p.m., as reported by Police News Affairs. The fire quickly spread across multiple buildings, prompting a full-scale response. Tragically, inside one of these buildings, firefighters discovered the lifeless body of a woman in her 50s. She had reportedly been stabbed multiple times before the fire was set. Authorities confirmed her death at the scene. The victim was later identified as Lucy Wrobel, 51, a resident of the same block.
It appears that the fire was deliberately started in the building where the woman was found. An autopsy is pending to determine the exact cause of death, but authorities suspect foul play given the circumstances.
