Scope of Application:The YW Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) machine is primarily designed to separate and remove micro-suspended particles whose density is close to water. The air flotation method involves dissolving air into water under pressure, which generates numerous micro-bubbles. These bubbles attach themselves to flocculated particles in the water, creating buoyant flocs that rise to the surface for removal.
This technology is widely applicable in various water supply and drainage projects, including:
1. Algae removal and turbidity reduction in tap water and landscape water from lakes and rivers;
2. Pretreatment of domestic sewage and sludge concentration;
3. Treatment of industrial wastewater, such as recovery of paper mill off-machine water pulp and clean water, removal of color and impurities from printing and dyeing wastewater, elimination of heavy metal ions in electroplating wastewater, separation of oil from refinery wastewater, removal of impurities from tannery wastewater, and treatment of industrial effluents from chemical, food, wood spinning, slaughterhouse, brewing, mining, and washing processes.
Key design parameters include retention time, flocculation duration, surface loading rate, reflux ratio, and gas dissolution pressure. The hydraulic retention time in the flotation tank typically ranges from 5 to 35 minutes, with a surface loading rate between 5 and 9 m³/(m²·h). The gas dissolution pressure and reflux ratio can be adjusted according to the desired treatment efficiency, significantly reducing operational and maintenance costs. This method is especially effective in cases where sedimentation methods struggle. Compared to sedimentation, the DAF system requires less infrastructure investment due to its shorter retention time while delivering superior treatment results. It is one of the most effective and critical technologies in separation systems.
