Dana Spicer TZL Series Transmission Put into Production in China

On February 28, 2012, Wuxi Dana Holding Co., Ltd. (NYSE: DAN) announced that the new Spicer® TZL series power shift transmission for China's high-end wheel loader market was officially put into production.

As part of the special commemorative ceremony, the first Spicer TZL16 gearbox was officially rolled out at the Assembly Plant in Wuxi, Jiangsu, Dana.

The Spicer TZL16 gearbox is specially made for the 17-ton (19-ton) ZL50 wheel loader, which already occupies 2/3 of China's wheel loader market.

Aziz, president of Dana Non-Highway Group, said: The production of the TZL 16 gearbox marks an important milestone for Dana's commitment to Chinese customers over 20 years. The Chinese construction market is steadily growing, and more and more Chinese manufacturers are pursuing it. In the global market expansion, Dana will expand the product range and increase production capacity to best support the development of China's construction industry.

The Spicer TZL series, debuted at the 2010 China Bauma show, was born on the new four-speed transmission platform, which inherited Dana's widely used Spice components in the Spicer power shift transmissions worldwide. Spicer TZL series is designed for stronger horsepower, less maintenance, more stable and quiet loader design.

Dana has been developing the follow-up products of the TZL series, including the Spicer TZL18 gearbox for the 21-ton (23-ton) loader and the Spicer TMG 14 gearbox for the 110-160kW (150-215 hp) grader. These The product plan will be put into production at the Wuxi plant this spring.
