Zhenhua Heavy Industry delivered the largest port machine order in recent years

    On August 5th, the Sri Lanka Colombo International Container Terminal was officially opened by China Merchants International Investment Operation, China Harbour and the company to provide terminal design and construction and complete port machinery equipment.

    The project is the largest overseas port machine order of Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry in recent years. On April 30, 2012, China Merchants International's Colombo International Container Terminal signed a equipment procurement contract with the company, including 12 shore bridges and 40 tire cranes.

    The terminal, which is adjacent to the existing Colombo Port, is part of the Colombo Port Expansion Project and is the first dock in Sri Lanka that can accommodate large container ships. The port is currently operating the first berth of the terminal and delivered a total of 3 The taiwan bridge and 10 tire cranes will be delivered in two phases: 10 tire cranes will be delivered to the 3 shore bridges by the end of November 2013, and 6 shore bridges and 20 tire cranes will be delivered by the end of March 2014. The terminal was started in December 2011. It is divided into two phases and a total of four berths will be built. The entire project is scheduled to be completed in April 2014. The annual designed container handling capacity is 2.4 million TEUs. The terminal can not only serve the South Asian subcontinent, the Far East and the In the Asia-Pacific region, it can also serve the east-west route. By then, the port will be built into a true Indian Ocean regional shipping center based on equipment advantages, location advantages and management strength.

    In recent years, the company has provided nearly 100 sets of port machinery equipment to Belgium, France, Morocco, Malta, the United States, South Korea and Djibouti, which are invested and operated by China Merchants. The company provides a full range of port machinery equipment in Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Togolo, Africa. The US container terminal will also be put into production in the second half of this year.
