According to foreign media reports, a few days ago, the world's leading automotive parts supplier Denso Group is expected to invest in Chon Buri in 2013 to increase local production capacity.
Denso Group said it will invest 8 billion yen (about 100 million U.S. dollars) to expand the Bang Pakong plant to increase its annual production in Thailand in 2013 to meet the growing demand in Thailand and overseas markets.
In July, Denso had invested 600 million baht (about US$19.26 million) to expand the Wellgrow plant and enhance the operation of Denso's operations in Thailand. Denso plans to transfer some of Japan’s domestic production capacity to Thailand by 2015 and use Thailand as its main export base.
At present, Denso has installed another factory in Sanlang County, Samut Prakarn, in addition to the Bangkang and Wellgrow plants. The three factories have a total of 5,102 employees.
