January 16, 2020 – Flyability, the innovative Swiss company behind the groundbreaking Elios 2 drone for indoor inspections, has officially opened its first U.S. office in Denver, Colorado. This move marks a significant milestone in the company's rapid expansion across the United States, as it seeks to deepen its engagement with customers and partners while providing enhanced support.

featuredDenver office openingFollowing several years of impressive growth, including securing an $11 million Series B funding round in 2018 and launching the pioneering Elios 2 in 2019, Flyability is further expanding its global footprint by establishing its first U.S. office. Located in Denver, this new office will enable Flyability to deliver more responsive, localized support to its U.S.-based customers and partners. Additionally, it will strengthen strategic partnerships across the region, ensuring that Flyability remains at the forefront of innovation in the commercial drone industry.

“This is a pivotal moment for us and our clients,” remarks Patrick Thevoz, co-founder and CEO of Flyability. “Having dedicated personnel on the ground here in one of our fastest-growing markets is incredibly exciting. It signifies our commitment to delivering exceptional service and support.”

Flyability’s drones are currently being utilized or tested across multiple sectors in the U.S., including Oil & Gas, Power Generation, Mining, and Waste Management. Alexandre Meldem, the company’s Vice President of Sales, has played a key role in expanding Flyability’s presence in North America over the past year and a half. He will also be involved in setting up the new office. “Operating within the same time zone as our clients means we can respond to their needs much faster,” Meldem explains. “It opens up possibilities for more immediate assistance, whether remotely or through on-site visits.”

Dubbed the "Mile High City," Denver was chosen due to its central location, vibrant tech ecosystem, and convenient access via its major international airport—features that make it ideal for supporting customers across the continent. Over the coming months, Flyability plans to hire locally in Denver to build a stronger regional team.

“We’re eager to grow our Denver-based workforce and get closer to our North American clients,” says Johan Mlouka, Managing Director for the Americas. “Understanding the unique operational challenges faced by our partners is critical to us. By investing in this market, we aim to provide faster, more efficient solutions tailored specifically to their needs.”
