JIAPIGOU gold mine was founded in 1938, after several renovation and equipment upgrades, equipment capacity is now up to 900t / d, actual production capacity of 600t / d.
(1) Ore property: It is a medium temperature hydrothermal fissure filled quartz vein deposit. The ore is a gold-containing polymetallic sulfide type. Metal ore minerals are mainly pyrite, yellow copper ore, galena, sphalerite followed, scheelite, magnetite, and natural gold. The gangue minerals are mainly quartz, feldspar and calcite .
Natural gold is present in quartz, pyrite fractures and magnetite pores, as well as galena and pyrite edges. The size of the gold inlay is very uneven, generally 0.037~0.01mm, but the coarse gold content above 0.037mm is also quite a lot.
(2) Process flow: The gold selection process adopts the combined process of amalgamation and flotation. The products are merging gold and gold concentrate. The process flow is shown in the following figure.
The amalgamation method is an ancient method of gold selection, and has been gradually eliminated due to the environmental hazard of mercury pollution. However, this process is simple and effective for the recovery of medium and coarse monomer gold. Therefore, some gold mines in China are still in use, such as Jiapigou, Xiangxi, and Southeast. The process of beneficiation of the Jiapigou can be changed to recover copper and lead depending on the nature of the ore. The process indicators, unit consumption indicators, and main equipment are shown in the table below.
