Toolholder Collets, Bushings and Tool Holders from Hardinge

When it comes to tool holding, precision and reliability are key to ensuring the final product meets your standards. Hardinge toolholder collets, bushings, and tool holders are crafted with quality and durability in mind. Their commitment to excellence ensures you achieve the necessary level of accuracy. Hardinge offers tool holders and collets in various styles, including ER, DA (double angle), TG (tremendous grip), HDO, and HF. Additionally, they provide standard collets and tool holders in Cincinnati Monoset and 1C configurations. All standard ER-style collets are made from special alloy steels and precision-machined to incredibly tight tolerances for superior concentricity. These collets are versatile, capable of gripping drills, taps, reamers, end mills, boring bars, and round shank tools. ER-style single-angle collets are ideal for Swiss-type lathes and mill tool holders, while the DA-style double-angle collet excels in parallel gripping due to its unique split design and two angles. This setup ensures even pressure distribution along both the tool shank and its full diameter. Cincinnati Monoset collets are machined to precise specifications, maintaining concentricity between their outer diameter and bore. Available in 1CH and 3CH sizes, these collets are commonly used in Hardinge T17 tool holders, which align tools with the spindle centerline for precise drilling. The 1C collets are compatible with round, hex, square, and decimal sizes and are suitable for holding drills, center drills, round shank boring bars, and turning tools. For gang tool setups, the 1C eccentric tool holder provides the necessary adjustments. Hardinge also produces HD-style bushings in three distinct designs. The HDB bushing features a knurled shoulder for easy installation and removal, with a flat machined on the outside for optimal clamping by tool holder or turret set screws. The HDC bushings include one or two longitudinal slots, depending on the bore size, allowing direct screw location on the tool body. HDZ bushings similarly offer one or two slots but come with a flanged design featuring two setscrews positioned 90 degrees apart, enabling presetting before installation. Hardinge caters to both manual and CNC lathe and mill users, offering a comprehensive range of toolholders, collets, and bushings. For further inquiries, visit hardinge.com or call 800-843-8801. Tools can be ordered anytime at www.shop.hardinge.com, with most collets and bushings shipped the same day. In summary, Hardinge's dedication to quality and innovation makes them a reliable partner in achieving machining precision. Whether you're working on a small project or a large-scale operation, their products deliver consistent performance and longevity.
