Recently, Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Daqing Volvo Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. filed a recall plan with the AQSIQ according to the requirements of the Regulations on the Management of Defective Automobile Product Recall, which was decided from 2017. Starting from March 30, the following vehicles will be recalled for a total of 28 vehicles:
(1) Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. has expanded the recall of some imported 2017 XC90 vehicles produced between November 16, 2016 and November 30, 2016, for a total of 15 vehicles;
Note: This recall is an enlarged recall of the recall of Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. recalled some imported cars on January 10, 2017. The reason for the expansion of the recall is that Volvo's Swedish headquarters has received additional information from the airbag supplier, and some batches of products may also involve this potential hazard.
(2) Daqing Volvo Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. recalled the domestic 2017 S90 long-wheelbase vehicles produced on January 19, 2017, for a total of 1 vehicle;
(III) Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. recalled some domestically produced 2017 Volvo S60L vehicles produced from January 10, 2017 to January 23, 2017, totaling 12 vehicles.
Due to the manufacturer's manufacturing problems, the vehicle in this recall may cause one or more airbags to fail to deploy normally during the impact, which increases the risk of injury to the occupants in the vehicle and poses a safety hazard. Volvo Car Sales (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., Daqing Volvo Car Manufacturing Co., Ltd. and Zhejiang Haoqing Automobile Manufacturing Co., Ltd. will replace the affected airbags for free in the recall range to eliminate potential safety hazards. Stock vehicles will be sold after the elimination of hidden dangers.
