Harvey firefighters responded to a second-alarm house fire at 192 E. 157th Street yesterday afternoon (January 22, 2015). The incident was captured by photographers Josh Boyajian and Tim Olk, who were on the scene to document the event.
From Josh Boyajian:
"Yesterday, we arrived at the Harvey Fire at 192 E. 157th Street. We came from Merrionette Park, so it took us a bit of time to get there. When we arrived, Harvey was already on the first floor, but heavy flames were still visible from the second floor. The structure’s layout made it challenging for crews to make a direct attack on the fire, but they managed to prevent it from spreading to the neighboring house to the east. Here are some of my photos from the scene."

The images show the intensity of the fire, with multiple shots of the burning home, firefighters working under heavy smoke, and even one photo capturing a firefighter carrying a dog to safety. Additional photos from Tim Olk highlight the scale of the blaze and the efforts of emergency responders at the scene. These visuals offer a powerful glimpse into the challenges faced during a serious residential fire.
