A call to help FDNY firefighters that have lost their homes

Helping Our Own – Homes of 1,000 FDNY Families Lost or Badly Damaged by Hurricane Sandy

The brave men and women of the FDNY have always stood strong, but now they need our support more than ever. Since 9/11, the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation has worked closely with the FDNY’s Counseling Services Unit and retired firefighters who offer peer support. Today, these counselors are helping firefighters and other department members cope with the damage caused by Hurricane Sandy, and we’re reaching out to you for help.

We’ve compiled a list of essential items that can provide comfort and relief to FDNY families in the days and weeks ahead. This list is dynamic and will be updated as needs change.
