Product Description
Mining Spiral Chute for Gold Sand Selection
The spiral chute is a gravity separation device widely used in the mining industry. It is particularly effective in separating non-ferrous metals, rare metals, and non-metallic minerals based on their density, size, and shape. Common applications include gold ore, iron ore, ilmenite, chromite, pyrite, zircon, rutile, monazite, phosphorite, tungsten ore, tin, tantalum, niobium, and more.
Working Principle:
The spiral chute operates using the combined forces of water flow, gravity, inertial centrifugal force, and friction. The slurry is fed into the top of the spiral and evenly distributed by a feed distributor. As the material moves down the spiral, it undergoes sorting based on its physical properties. Lighter particles are carried outward by the water flow, while heavier particles settle towards the inner edge of the spiral, allowing for efficient separation without the need for external power.
Advantages and Features:
- Compact and space-saving design
- High recovery rate and efficient separation
- No electricity required
- Lightweight, corrosion-resistant, and wear-resistant
- Easy to install and maintain
- Low operating costs and long service life
- Reliable performance with minimal operator intervention
- Strong adaptability to variations in feed size, density, and grade
- Superior concentration effect due to the use of corundum surface, which provides stronger friction than plastic surfaces

This image shows a complete gravity separation production line, including spiral chutes and shaking tables. After initial separation by the spiral chutes, some valuable minerals are extracted. The shaking tables then further process the remaining material, improving overall recovery efficiency.
The ideal feeding particle size for the spiral chute is between 0.02 mm and 0.3 mm. The spiral chute can be customized with a polyurethane coating or made from fiberglass, depending on your specific requirements.
Whether you're processing gold sands, rare metals, or other mineral ores, our spiral chutes provide an efficient, cost-effective, and reliable solution for gravity separation in the mining industry.
