This incident took place near Chardon Road and Imperial Court on May 1st, 2013. The fire was first reported as a second alarm around 2:35 PM, and then it escalated to a third alarm just an hour later at 3:05 PM after box #34-70 was struck. By around 4:05 PM, the firefighters managed to get the situation under control. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to capture the best shots because Lake County Sheriff had Chardon Road closed off for safety reasons. Still, I did my best to snap a few photos. I’ve also included one of them below of Grayslake Fire Station #3, even though it’s not the clearest image. These pictures were all taken by me.    The flames were really intense, and you could see the smoke rising high into the sky. It was quite a sight, but I’m glad the firefighters were able to handle it so quickly.
