How electromagnetic flowmeters choose temperature and pressure

    Following is a brief introduction to the selection of temperature and pressure for smart electromagnetic flowmeters. Smart Magnetic Flow Meter is a volumetric flow meter without any moving parts and is ideal for wastewater applications or any dirty liquid, conductive or water. Intelligent electromagnetic flowmeters are generally not associated with hydrocarbons, distilled water, and non-aqueous solutions. Smart electromagnetic flowmeters are also ideal for applications with low pressure drop and low maintenance requirements.

    In the flow meter does not require more straight pipe insertion. At least 5 to 10 tube diameters run straight up from 1 to 2 diameters downstream of the proposal. In vertical pipelines, the flow should always run and not come down. These flow meters are very sensitive to air bubbles. The direct-reading frequency meter cannot discriminate the entrained air from the process fluid; therefore, the air bubbles can cause the direct-reading frequency meter to read high.

    1 There is a limit to the fluid pressure and temperature that a smart electromagnetic flowmeter can measure. When used, the operating pressure must be lower than the operating pressure specified by the flowmeter. At present, the working pressure specifications of electromagnetic flowmeters sold in China are:

    Less than 50mm diameter, working pressure is 1.6MPa;

    900 mm diameter, working pressure 1MPa;

    More than 1000mm diameter, working pressure is 0.6MPa.

    If there are special requirements for the pressure resistance of the transmitter, you can negotiate with the manufacturer.

    2 The working temperature of the smart electromagnetic flow meter depends on the lining material used, generally 5 - 70 °C. If you do special treatment, you can exceed the above range. Wear-resistant anti-corrosion electromagnetic flowmeter. The transmitter allows the measured medium temperature to be -40-130°C.
