Recently, Tireco announced that it has recalled a number of Milestar BS623 tires in the United States.
The number of these tires was 11,904, which was produced by Shandong Wanda Baotong Tire Co., Ltd. from June 23, 2013 to January 24, 2015.
The Milestar BS623 is a medium truck tire with a size of 225 / 70R19.5 G / 14.
It is understood that the reason why these tires were recalled is because the information on the sidewall of the tire has been wrong.
According to the US Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), these tires will be "SINGLE" (single tire), incorrectly labeled "Dual" (double).
Prior to the recall, Tireco filed an application with NHTSA, arguing that the error did not need to be recalled, but NHTSA rejected the company's request.
It is reported that the recall will begin on October 10th and Tireco will replace tires for users free of charge.
Tire World Network learned that this is not the first time that Milestar BS623 tires have been recalled.
In February 2015, Tireco also recalled a number of problem tires, including the Milestar BS623.
At that time, the number of tires recalled was 3,793, and the problem was that the sidewalls were cracked.
