From ldv.com:
We recently delivered a state-of-the-art mobile command center to the City of Naperville, Illinois. This vehicle is built on a Freightliner M2 106 conventional single rear axle chassis with a 33,000 GVWR, powered by a Cummins L9 360HP diesel engine and paired with an Allison 3000 EVS automatic transmission. The all-aluminum body includes two custom in-house fabricated flat-floor slide-outs, offering extra space for operations and equipment storage. The interior features our proprietary Intel-I-Touchâ„¢ vehicle automation system, which allows for seamless control of all onboard systems from a central interface.
Outside, we added a durable exterior charging station, a workstation for field use, and Extreme Duty body storage compartments. A non-locking rear pneumatic mast was installed with perimeter surveillance cameras, ensuring full visibility around the vehicle. To keep the unit stable during operations, a vehicle leveling system was included. For security and convenience, a TriMark keyless entry system with remote RF transmitter fobs was installed. Emergency lighting from Whelen was also added to enhance visibility and safety at the scene. A custom pull-out aluminum stair cassette provides easy access to the vehicle’s interior.
Inside, the front area includes a work zone with two sets of café-style seating, designed for comfort and efficiency. Magnetic surface dry erase whiteboards line the side walls, perfect for quick notes and planning. A 55-inch high-resolution display is mounted on the front wall, with two additional 32-inch monitors for multi-tasking. The center of the vehicle houses a large electronics rack and a closet with adjustable shelving for organized storage. Magnetic soft-close pocket doors offer privacy when needed.
The rear section features a spacious conference room with a central table and six spider base task chairs. A curbside rear slide-out includes two additional workstations. On the streetside wall, a 65-inch high-resolution monitor is mounted, while a 55-inch Vibe smartboard with a conferencing camera is installed on the rear wall. The HVAC system includes three low-profile ducted rooftop A/C units and two direct discharge diesel-fired furnaces. A powerful 20kW liquid-cooled diesel generator ensures continuous power supply. A full surge suppression system protects all sensitive electronics, and a Will-Burt Night Scan LED telescoping light tower enhances nighttime operations. Four perimeter IP cameras provide 360-degree surveillance, and an Extron 4K 16×8 video matrix switcher manages all video inputs efficiently.
